The Royal Institute of Health Sciences (RIHS), Mumbai is one of the highly reputed and leading Institute established and managed by Royal Medico - Technical Society, Navi Mumbai, which is incorporated under the Law of the Government of India. The Royal Medico-Technical Society, Navi Mumbai is Registered by Government under the Act. 29 of 1950 and Act 21 of 1860 as Scientific, Medical and Technical Research Institution And Affiliated by Maharashtra State Board of Skill, Vocational Education and Training, Mumbai, Government of Maharashtra . Also Accredited by UNITED NATIONS ECOSOC, New York , United States of America.
The education of a Doctor is a continuous process and to achieve this object the ROYAL MEDICO – TECHNICAL SOCIETY, Navi Mumbai decided to start a Continuing Medical Education programmes for General Medical Practitioners.
Hence, ROYAL MEDICO– TECHNICAL SOCIETY, Navi Mumbai established ROYAL INSTITUTEOF HEALTH SCIENCES, to conduct Continuing Medical Education programmes for AYUSH Medical Practitioners interested in acquiring knowledge and skills in emerging areas.
The Continuing Medical Education programmes are meant for Qualified AYUSH Doctors possessing recognized Diploma / Degree from recognized University / Board/ Institution. The purpose of CME programmes is to make the participant well equipped with the subject considering the modern day advances and enhancement of his/ her skills so that he/she can do better in his/her medical practice. The main aim of the CME programmes is to help the participants in better healthcare delivery for his/her patients.
Our Mission
1. To develop in the young generation, in medicos and AYUSH medical professional the higher spirit and values of the ethics, dutifulness, brotherhood and selfless service; and for the same to organize different educational, cultural and socio-creative activities and constructive programmes.
2.To undertake publications relating to Health &AYUSH Medical Sciences.
3.To engage, assist or undertake various social service activities such as sanitation, public health, establishment of libraries, social welfare activities, family welfare, relief to the affected in times of flood, famine, pestilence and other calamities caused by nature and man.
4.To formulate policies and make suggestions and recommendations in the matter of Medical Education and Training, in particular encouraging Continuing Medical Education activities.
5.To promote Teaching, Training and Continuing Medical Education of its members on an ongoing basis;
6.To encourage group studies, co-operative activities, Research projects in both the methodology of educational techniques and field research into diseases etc.
7.To compile, educational material, including publication of literature, periodicals, bulletins and books on AYUSH Medical Sciences.
8.To establish dialogue between different theories concerning useful knowledge including the diverse prevalent systems of medical sciences, methodologies and philosophies; and to strive for bringing about adjustment, integration and synthesis and to organize / sponsor educational programmes, seminars, symposia, workshops and conferences as well as to promote academic work of all kinds in order to advance and develop the AYUSH i.e. Indian Medicine , Homoeopathy and Naturopathy.
9.To advance the scientific study and professional practice of AYUSH / Indian Medicine, Homoeopathy and to enhance the contribution of Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy by encouraging its development by promoting research and setting high standards of professional ethics, competence, conduct, education, qualification and achievement amongst practitioners promoting the dissemination of knowledge and thought about AYUSH / Indian Medicine and Homoeopathy through CME programmes, Refresher Courses, Meetings, Lectures, Seminars, Workshops, Reports, Papers, Discussions, Debates, Exhibitions, Camps, Publications, Professional contacts etc. with wide interest and inquiry into AYUSH Medical Sciences and all related areas of knowledge and practice.
